Where you can find the local news, which your character can watch, hear or read about. Everything in here is canon to the site plot. |
All the information and sign-ups pertaining to the current site-wide plot development from the ongoing werewolf event. |
The place to put all those text conversations, phone calls, emails, letters and notes passed in the classroom (NOTE: All threads in here do NOT count towards the AC). |
Enjoy the radio broadcasts by London's local voices, or read an advertisement for a local business.
(NOTE: Only post in this forum with IC adverts for businesses, services etc. or as a radio host. Actors/Actresses etc. may post scripts of things they're performing in so characters can "watch" and refer to the movie/show) |
Want to explore something from your characters past, perhaps before they woke in this new world? Or are you feeling antsy, impatient for a plot to play out and want to dip your toes into their future? This is the place to do those things. |
Sometimes we all wonder what it would be like if Sherlock Holmes attended Hogwarts, or if Nemo was a peasant boy in Medieval England. What if Simba and Rapunzel were best friends on a spaceship? Let your imagination run wild in this forum. |
Arguably one of the main shopping districts in the city, along with Camden Market. You'll find all of the big name brands here; from Harrods to Disney to Debenhams. You can get anything you need here, but be warned: the closer you are to central London, the higher the prices seem to be. Don't be tempted by the street stalls or the rickshaws... their prices are almost beyond extortionate. |
London's party district and the best known LGBTQ+ hotspot. There are clubs such as GAY and Tiger Tiger, and a few sex shops here and there. It's definitely THE place to be when night falls. |
Feeling like trying something new? Explore China Town and the exotic tastes it has to offer. It seems like every building is a restaurant, a bakery or a shop. Free samples are on offer, along with delicious buffets and a bunch of Chinese produce available to buy in the supermarkets. |
The hipster hotspot, the alternate abode. Whoever you are, there's something for you. From vintage goods and clothing to a basement of neon delight, to shops filled with corsets and spiked collars. If you can dream it up, you can buy it here. It's not unusual to see someone walking by dressed as a pirate or a clown, either. The den of freaks, and a shelter for the outcasts of society. |
For a large city, London certainly has a lot of parks. From Hyde Park to St James', there is a lot to enjoy. Also found here is London Zoo, and all the bars, pubs, restaurants and cafes the city has to offer. |
The V&A, The Natural History Museum, The British Museum, The Science Museum, The Imperial War Museum, Buckingham Palace and of course, the London Library are just a few of the cultural delights London has to offer. |
A little grim at times but definitely the best way to get to the Thames. They run all the way along it, and along their edges can be found the London Eye, The sea life centre, the London Dungeons and more! Just be careful not to linger under the docks late at night... it can get pretty dangerous. |
Need a hospital? Or perhaps just want to visit your GP? Need a fire putting out or a crime to report? Perhaps you yourself are being arrested! Police, Ambulance Service, Health services and the Fire department are a few of the things that can be found here. |
Whether you're travelling by car, bus, overground, national rail service or the good old tube; this is where your thread should go. |
Whether your character rents out a cupboard sized room in the heart of London, or owns a larger flat or house on the outskirts- their home can be found here. |
Literally anywhere in London that doesn't fit in the above areas. General city streets, any back alleys, east london, west london, north london and south. The outskirts... anywhere that won't fit in the above forums that is in London. |
Wales, Ireland, Scotland, the rest of England... essentially anywhere in the UK that is not London. Fancy going on a road trip? Or taking a short flight? Use this area to escape from the busy city for a little while. |
---- -- It's a big wide world out there, and yours to explore! Hop over the pond to France, Germany or Italy. Europe not far enough? Venture further to America, Australia or Japan. Go on Safari on the planes of Africa, or admire the Pyramids in Egypt. The world is your oyster, and your oyster is this forum. |
